Ms. Esser has worked extensively in theater scenic design in Raleigh and Charleston community theaters. She has been active in the Raleigh Little Theater, Chowan State College Community Theater, and the Footlight Players in Charleston.
Ms. Esser and her husband Greg have recently moved back to Jacksonville, FL. She is a highly sought-after artist.
Kaytee concentrates her painting on portraiture both human and animal. Her pet portraits connect with each of her subjects on a deeply personal level, capturing their essence and translating it to canvas using rich color in a realistic approach. Her human portraits are in the style of contemporary realism by creating a different palette and approach to the representation of people. The interplay of hard and soft line coupled with the intimately subtle variations of skin tone adds dimension to the subject as if standing there in front of you.
